Week of April 19-23
It’s very important that all students complete elearning work assignments from last Friday. Please check in with your child to see that these were completed. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher. This week we will begin ILEARN state testing. ILEARN is given to students in grades 3-5 during the testing period of April 19-May 14. This coming week our students in grades 3 and 4 will be testing. Please ensure that your child is well rested to enable his/her best thinking this week! Please also be sure your student is on time to school. The testing schedule begins first thing in the morning each day. Students cannot enter class once a testing session has started. Thank you for your help to ensure our students have the best opportunity to show what they know!
Registration for 2021-2022 School Year is now open! It is very important for staffing purposes that we know how many students will be joining us next year. Please register your student ASAP online by going to the GCCS website at www.gcs.k12.in.us. You will need the snapcode that was sent to you. You will be registering as a ‘returning student’. If you need assistance, please contact Mrs. Proctor our Administrative Assistant in the front office.
Student Council News Our Student Council sponsored a project to raise funds for Riley’s Children’s Hospital. This project raised $231. Great job Roadrunners! The positive messages purchased will be sent to students this week.
Notes from the Library It was so wonderful to see so many students excited to purchase books for their home library! Our book fair sales were the best ever. We are able to purchase more books for our Riverside library with profits from the book fair. Thank you for participating. READ, READ, READ Roadrunners!

PTO News: Our PTO is sponsoring a fundraiser through April 26. We are selling flowerbulbs through Paragon promotions. All sales are online. The proceeds will go towards purchasing a security window covering for the front lobby. This will help beautify our school and enhance security all in one! Our next PTO meeting is this Thursday at 6:00.
