Week of May 17-21
Please check in with your child to be sure he/she completed all of the assignments from our Elearning day last Friday. Our grading period is winding down and missing assignments can adversely affect your child’s grades. Thank you again for all your support this year. We can’t wait to hopefully get back to a ‘normal’ year next year!
Chromebook Collection
We will begin collecting chromebooks on Monday, May 24. Students should have their chromebook ready to be turned in along with their chargers. MSO student textbook and Chromebook collection will be May 28. More information will be sent to MSO families.
Enrollment for 21-22 School year
Please enroll your student for next school year as soon as possible. Our Riverside boundaries have moved to include part of the Bridgepoint area. In order to have adequate staffing in place, we need to get all our students registered for next school year. Our PTO donated a popcorn and juice party to the grade level that has the most students enrolled by May 21! The corporation deadline for students wishing to enroll in mySchool Online learning for the 21-22 school year is June 11.
Preschool Enrollment is OPEN
The on My Way PreK application is open! This is a way your child can get preschool for free! We need as many families to apply for this as possible. The vouchers are assigned on a first come first serve basis, and we want GCCS to lead the way in the amount of vouchers we receive!!!! GCCS Education Foundation News
The GCCS Education Foundation is hosting the annual Champions for Children event on May 20th at Huber’s Plantation Hall. Included in this year’s event is a virtual auction that includes vacation packages, gift cards, and several themed baskets from all of our buildings. Anyone can participate in the auction. The auction is open now and closes on Thursday 5/20 at 8:30 PM. If you win an item you will receive email communication on how to arrange pick-up. The building’s basket that brings in the highest amount will receive those funds to use in their building on a staff appreciation initiative of their choice.

PTO News
A GREAT BIG thanks to the PTO for sponsoring the food truck in the park last week! Thank you to everyone for coming out. PTO has also been refurbishing what used to be the rain garden out front. It is a work in progress and we appreciate all the efforts and support of our school this year!
